For sewer pump dry pit, is the ventilation pumped in or out of the pit.?

Do you suck air out of the bottom of the dry well or blow fresh air inti the bottom of the dry pit.

Usually people pull sewage gasses out of the pit. Don't forget to make explosion proof.
