How to pump out your own sewer?
Public Comments
- that will not be a good Idea. you need special permit to dump or dispose of the waste. you also need a tank to pump it into to be able to haul it away. besides,it is a smelly job, because I helped an uncle do it years ago.
- Due to environmental/safety regulations, and the permitting process, you need to find someone who HAS the proper permits to do this work for you -- And besides -- what I think you mean is how to get your Septic Tank Pumped out (do you have a rural lot with about 1/2 acre to an acre or more? Then you have a septic tank on the property) -- which is a process that you should schedule every 4 years to make sure it works properly. Sewers are interconnected to a central processing station -- and that is normally by some utility company or the local municipality. This situation is much different than Septic Tanks -- which are NOT connected to any central processing facility.
