Is there a code on how far a sump pump crock has to be from a wall or sewer lift crock?

I want to move my sump pump crock between my baesment wall and my lift crock for the basement bathroom. When they installed the sump pump crock they lut it 4 feet from the wall and 2-3 feet from the lift crock.

1. I don't know where you live, but I am certain there are by-laws and codes regarding sump pumps. Don't touch a thing until you check into it. If you're moving it far enough, you may even have to check into permits. Don't try to do it without checking, it may result in huge fines!!!Check with your city hall. There should be a department just for by-laws and building codes.
2. Environment health department is who regulates this. Probably in your courthouse.
3. It varies depending on your location. Cities adopt different code books. Then they might make amendments to the existing codes. The best bet is to call the city development office,or permit and inspection department and talk to an inspector
