What is the average cost of hydro jetting a main sewer line?
I bought a house 7 months ago that contains terracotta sewer pipes. Recently I have been experiencing some backup due to the main sewer line being clogged. I had some plumbers come out and they hydro jetted (power washed) my sewer line and it cost me $2100. If anyone else has had this procedure done, how much have you paid? $2100 seems awfully high.

- If you paid that, then I'm in the wrong business. That is why it is best to check around for a handyman. I have painted houses far less than that. I would have charged around $200. I am guessing you are on a septic tank since you have terracotta pipes. This would simply be opening the clean out plug and jetting down the main pipe to the septic tank. Now if you had roots they had to remove that would be different. How long did it take them. Whenever you use a company they will charge much more but that is crazy.
