When pumping gas at the gas station, how does the pump know that the tank is filled?
You know when you standing in the freezing cold waiting for it to finish and then the things pops up cause its done putting gas in the car..so how does it know that it's filled....is there a sensor or something..
Public Comments
- a sensor in the nozzle feels when the liquid touches it, thats why if you don't put the nozzle in all the way and the gas splashes the pump will shut off right away
- Its called an Internal check valve its function is to prevent back flow into the nozzle and does this by disengaging the pump trigger
- It has artificial intelligence built in. The same way a Thermos bottle knows to keep your drink hot or cold.
