what is the best sewer pump to install on a basement for a new bathroom and 2 washers?

My main sewerline is 5ft above ground and a 15ft sewer pipe going to it

  1. pit style macerate pump largest you can find to keep up with 2 washers most adequate for normal bathroom use on up to 12 Feet vertical. but the washers might over load the typical pumpw
  2. I have a grinder pump in my basement to which is attached a toilet, sink, shower, washer, and service sinks. I installed a Zoeller pump model #810, this entire thing cost around $850 including the tank. It pumps the sewage right into the septic tank thru a 1 1/2 pipe. It has worked trouble free for me. Liberty also makes a pump system. It has similar features to Zoeller. You can buy a Zoeller pump direct from Manufacturer source or from WW Grainger the large distributor probably in your area. They have a website to view the grinder pump on www.grainger.com
  3. James hit the mark on this question. I could offer one alternative....he has a grinder pump. A sewage pump can "pass a 2" solid" so you may not need a grinder after all, which could save you a little $$ This would be application based. The only other thing I'd recommend is to go to Ferguson Enterprises rather than Grainger. The pricing should be a little better and the sales staff is typically more knoweldegable.
