Im looking to install a sink in my basement but would need a tank and pump for the waste. Any ideas?
Im sure its been done by many ppl. Im just trying to find the right tank and pump for the job. One that when it gets filled to a certain level the pump will turn on and pump it to my sewer pipes. I need it since my sink would be lower then my pipes run. Any ideas or websites would be greatly appreciated

- Home Depot
- Kevin M is right. Go to Home Depot or some of the similar stores, and ask the guy in the plumbing dept. If you have the option, ask the older guy - the kid may or may not know what you're talking about. If you have the budget to do it, consider putting in an "upflush" toilet at the same time. This should have more than enough capacity to handle the water produced by a sink, and it would save you the trouble of having to run upstairs all the time.
- I have a Flotec 1/4 HP Sink Pump System it cost around $200 Maximum pumping capacity up to 2880 GPH. Includes 1/4 HP automatic submersible sump pump, heavy-duty drainage tank works well for me. I think I got mine at Homedepot or Lowes
- It'scalled a, SANI-FLO plus
- what you need is a saniflo pump, this will pump waste a great distance;there are several models for different applications, any decent plumbers merchant should supply
- When I built my home 17 years ago I installed a PVC wash sink next to the washing machine for my wife. It has a pump mounted underneath connected right to the sink drain. Works on an automatic float inside the sink basin. It pumps the waste water up to the sewer line. Still works great and cost under $100.00...
