Where can I find a water pump that I can operate with a bicycle?
I want to be able to pump water from a utility sink to the sewer pipe that is about 4' high in the basement. It doesn't have to be high pressure, just enough to get the water out. I'm looking for the pump without the motor, the bicycle will be the motor. I want to be able to connect the bicycle to the pump with a belt. I like your idea about the pully against the back tire, but where do I get the pump from? What kind of pump can I use?

- You don't need a belt, just have the pully against the back tire.
- You can modify this it is made to work on a cordless power drill http://www.amazon.com/Drill-Powered-Water-Pump-Use-Anywhere-Emergency/dp/B001D1CNE6/ref=pd_sxp_grid_i_1_1 Its only $7
- not sure of the question but why not just syphon it.sink is higher then sewer so should flow down the tube.id try a small fish tank gravel cleaner maybe
- how things work .com or mothers earth .com
- I respect your innovation in looking for a green solution---but I think it would be a lot easier to buy a sump pump for $50 to send the water to the sewer pipe.
- How about a hand pump? (bike tire pump style) If you want to use the bike to power it, attach it to the crank.
