How do I hook up to town sewer system.?

I have a septic system. And i would like to hook up to town sewer system.I am allready hook to town water

1. talk to the town maintenance dept.
2. Typically someone with the town/city or a plumber they subcontract will have to perform the tap as you have to have approval, in most towns or cities, for the tap, so I'd contact the water dept and they can surely steer you in the right direction.
3. It's best to either contact a plumber or excavator because you will need them both. As for hooking to the town sewer there probably is already a takeoff in the street for you,to find the location you will have to contact the sewer company.
4. The hook up needs to be done in an aproved manner. A local plumber should be able to handle the problem for you. They should know all the steps need to be done. This means changing where the pipes are in your house now. For a septic system usualy the pipes run out to the rear & with a sewer system the pipes will run to the front of the house.
