how to do soil profiling showing invert elevations in a series of connections of drainage/sewer line system?

  1. step 1- Mark the rout the sewer line will run along, use wooden pegs. step 2- survey the rout by plotting the levels of the existing ground by using the theodolite and level machine. step 3- find the invert level of the pipe at the first manhole. step 4- calculate the required slop based on flow by gravity to the next manhole which will provide you the next invert level. step 5- check the required invert level of the pipe and compare it to the ground level measured earlier. step 6- By doing such comparison you will be able to determine the amount of excavation and concrete to build the manholes. step 7- keep repeating the same process till the last connecting manhole
