Could someone address weaknesses of 'vacuum sewer systems'?
We are studying the option of using 'vacuum sewer systems' for a forthcoming project. The location of installation would be at a remotely located small island and adjacent to sea. The ground level is almost flat and water table there is high. Please help by sharing your experience and highlight the disadvantages and weaknesses of this system as compared to conventional sewer system. Thank you!

- The only thing I can see is if this is remote you may have a potential reliability issue if the sytem leaks and cannot work. As with most sytems the more elements that you add reliability goes down. I can see a gravity fed sytem being more reliable.
