Any opinions on sewer cleaning companies in City of Poughkeepsie, NY. I have a clogged main sewer line?
I have a clogged main sewer line that is leaking in my basement. About 6 months ago, I had it snaked. Looks like it's repeating. The house is old. I have replaced the sewer line from cast iron to PVC inside my basement but the line going from the basement to the city line (underground) is still cast iron. Any opinion on a honest local maintenance company will be appreciated. Thanks

- I hate to tell you this, but it's probably time to bite the bullet and replace it all the way to the city line with PVC. The old cast iron attracts tree roots, and that's what blocks it off. Every time you call Roto-Rooter (or whatever company that uses that type equipment) you get about 6 months or less before it needs to be done again. It will trim the roots, but they grow back quickly. I mean QUICKLY!
