how much should I expect to pay to have my sewer line replaced?

We've had trouble with our bathroom getting clogged and it would be great to have a bigger sewer out (we've an oldhouse).

  1. $300.00 to $20,000.00, Depends on where you live more than anything else. Rural rates and short lines that are shallow will be the cheapest. Another factor is whether you will tie into a city line or a septic tank. The materials are cheap, its the labor that kills you.
  2. more info needs; pvc, caston pipe, brick pipe, metal pipe size. but for conctret remove and replaced pipe to star be 500.00 and 150.00 additional feet cost
  3. Well there is not the correct info I would need to answer this ?. Are you sure its the main line and not where the bathroom ties into the main line? You said you wanted a bigger sewer line. Even 100 yr old lines work fine But what happens is they sag or come apart and cause problems. So maybe only a section needs to be done. If the line is only 50 foot it would be wise to replace the whole line with PVC. If it was 120 foot maybe 10foot is only Bad. I would suggest to have a camera put into the line and have a inspection done to find out what and where the problem is. I have been a plumber for 20 YRS and I have done lines from 500 to 100.000 There are so many things you have to look at Like How deep How Long the line is. Where is needs to be tied into. Permits And so on. So Look in your phone book for Free EST and go from there Or have them use the camera will cost about 125 to 250 pending. And go from there Most people think the whole line is bad and alot of times this is not the case. Goodluck
