- Never heard of sewer line insurance. Why don't you call your homeowners insurance agent and ask them about it.
- The lines from your house are the City,s resonsablity , never heard of Ins. for sewer lines.
- Don't bother. The cost wouldn't be worth it. If it goes, then replace it. If it isn't too deep it shouldn't be a big problem. The sewer line rarely goes bad from age. Your incoming water line does. You may never need to concern yourself about it.
- most insurance companies cover sewer line breakage from your property line including your house. my insurance paid all costs except for old pipe itself i replaced cast iron pipe with pvc pipe insurance even paid my labor and relaying carpet costs. check your insurance
- I live in Virginia. The Electric Company ( Dominion Power) has a add on policy to the monthly electric bill that can cover Service Lines, both water and sewer. The cost is minimal relative to the cost of paying for a repair like this yourself. I know we discovered the insurance existed after the fact last November. Was $5000 to replace 110 feet with 1" K Copper... ands that was a chheap price. Call your Utility Companies and ask them if they have such a policy. Good Luck!
