  1. Depends on where it is stopped up. I would definitely be very careful and watch for any water backing up in the drains.
  2. No. You will eventually end up with sewage on your floor. Unclog first.
  3. then how do u know the sewer is clogged? but if it is it's just going to get worse and worse over time....may be something u can do yourself now ......wait and you'll be paying someone else
  4. If your sewer is truly clogged, then NO, do not run any more water down there. You will end up with a sewage backup that is unhealthy and a pain to clean up. Is the pipe clogged? Is your septic full of solids? Your best bet is to get your septic tank pumped ASAP, and then go from there. The pumper should be able to check out your line and tell you what to do after that. Here in Florida, it will cost you about $150 for a pump out, and it should be done about every three years.
  5. It IS a health hazard to have waste water backing up into your house. It can also cause significant damage to your home. You'll need to check your sewer clean out to find out if there is blockage. Look down it and shine a flash light in there. You should be able to see if there is standing water. Roto Rooter may be able to help you with your problem. If you have tree roots that have gotten into the pipe joints, you may need the line relayed, and will be looking at a significant expense in the $1000- 15,000 range.
