Can I drive a bobcat over a septic system?

I removed an above-ground pool, and I want to remove the sand/rocks and add in some loam. A bobcat would make this much easier, but it might involve driving over my septic system. Is this a really bad idea?

  1. it does sound kind of fucking dumb
  2. as long as it's dry and your not digging to far down you don't want to hit any pipes or disrupt your leach bed Good luck
  3. If the bobcat is light enough and the septic tank is sturdy enough, you might be able to get away with it, maybe. But consider the consequences of a less-than-ideal scenario. I wouldn't recommend it. The results aren't pretty.
  4. You shouldn't drive anything heavy over a drainfield. I don't know how much a bobcat weighs, but the chance of crushing the drainpipes in the field is real.
