where could I find info on a residential wastewater reclamation system sized for a single family home?
I'm curious if it's possible or if the technology even exists yet to provide a rural homeowner with a wastewater treatment system that is small enough to be housed in a small shed and would clean, filter and reclaim the sewer water that would normally flow to a municipal waste water plant or septic tank?? If possible this would allow it to be reused for non-potable uses such as landscape irrigation, washing the car, washing clothes, etc... If anyone knows anything about this or where to find more info I would appreciate it.

- There are septic tank systems now that collect the waste water, treat it with chemicals, then pump the treated water out to sprinkler heads in the yard.
- Be careful, in many cities gray water systems are illegal and could get you into trouble. One simple thing you can try is to get a long hose to attach to your clothes washing machine drain line. stretch it out into the yard and move it every load or two.
