flooded basement in need of reliable repair

My basement flooded after the last storm. I called a professional to see why they stated there was a crack in the main line under the house going to the sewer. he also stated it would cost $ 4000.00 to fix. i also need a sub pump but i can't afford a $4000 repair. I also need some one who;s not trying to rip me off because i"m a woman to tell me how my system flows under the house can they look with a camera or what. Again i need a reliable person to help me out. how do i know what i really need. do they have people that don't charge just to come and look at the problem? and give me a honest estimate.

  1. I know exactly what you are experiencing. have no reason to misdirect you or cause you financial hardship by leading you along on some dishonest plain. I to have had this problem. I to have called a professional to come look at my problems that are causing water to leak into the family room. He had a very good system and seemed like a reasonable solution to a very ugly problem. Finances are always threatened when they run up to big $$$. Because I am very skeptical of all sales men I shopped around and got different systems and they all were all about the same money.I went with a really good system That they created a weep hole along were the bottom wall and floor met.All seepage just drains into it that is completely limited to this drainage system to a sump pump where any excess water is collected then pumped out of the basement into my side yard and out not the lawn where it drys up somewhat quickly depending on current weather conditions. Works great and work the money for my house For sure Good Luck
  2. sorry but I'm a little confused if the leek was sewage it would happen all the time not just when it rains hard some things you may check if your gutter down spout run into drains going into the ground try to divert those that may keep access water from running into your sewage line and I was wondering if you have damage from a storm why is this not a claim on insurance call your agent they might help you with this
