What can I do to eliminate the smell?

How can I eliminate the smell of sewer gas in my basement? The smell is coming out of the floor drain?

1. You will have to pour several buckets of water down the drain and you will have to do this on a weekly basis. It won't help right away, but eventually the odor will go away -- just be sure to remember those drains each week.
2. 1] prepare siphon chamber to floor drain. 2] in addition to above u may add vent pipe to siphon chamber If the above is not possible, put exhaust fan at the extreme height having extended suction [say through pipe] of exhaust near source of smell this won't eliminate however disperse the smell out of basement All the best
